According to Factory Act (Rule 88) it is very vital to establish an Occupational health center for set up of over 200 employees and functioning 24×7. It is mandatory to recruit one full time Factory Medical Officer for every 500 employees and one more Medical officer for every additional 1000 workers. There shall be one nurse, one dresser- cum-compounder and one sweeper-cum ward boy throughout the working period.
