Vildagliptin lowers blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes. It works in part by increasing the amount of insulin produced by the body.
Some common side effects of Vildagliptin are headache, dizziness, weakness, constipation, weight gain, sore throat, excessive sweating, heartburn, and swelling of face, lips, eyelids, tongue, hands and feet.
